Abstract

There is much literature and curriculum on "ethnomathematics" and "culturally relevant mathematics", but very little in statistics. This probability lesson attempts to address this as a way to support diversity, equity, and inclusion for all learners -- especially our Latinx/Hispanic students who have been underserved but who are making up an increasing fraction of the population in modern educational settings.
