Abstract
I’m introducing the new Art of Stat mobile apps for both iOS and Android that cover almost all your technology needs for the intro stats course. One way to use these apps in your teaching is to let students record short videos (or provide screenshots) on their phones. The technical setup is minimal. These videos can be about a data analysis, or a statistical concept.
I will focus on a few apps in each of the three major categories Exploratory Data Analysis, Distributions and Inference, and I will discuss teaching plans and homework assignments that take advantage of this new technology.
The modern student deserves a modern statistical calculator, and these apps provide a very comprehensive one, and much more.
