How do instructors who teach at institutions without the support of teaching assistants or grad students design, create, deliver, manage and assess (and maybe collect research data) using the teaching ideas that are coming across the statistics education professional outlets (webinars and papers) when, in most cases, the speaker/developer/author is supported by teams of TAs and who admit fully that they could not run these awesome ideas without these built-in institutional supports? Let’s explore together the “unsupported professor” and how we can scale down and adapt administratively heavy teaching and classroom techniques when statistics class is a one-person show.
