How can we leverage AI though to help us teach statistics more effectively and efficiently? With the rise in popularity of ChatGPT and other AI software, much focus has been on how this will negatively affect student assessment, rather than how it can help us more quickly prepare class materials or provide students individualized extra support in learning statistics. ChatGPT can used to generate examples on specific topics, their solutions, and even write code. The examples can be used for assessment purposes, classroom activities, or for students to practice on their own. What are some approaches for engaging with ChatGPT that will lead to accurate responses? How do we guide students to critically evaluate generated answers? What are some strategies for using AI to help students learn how to code? What are the ethical implications and potential algorithmic biases when incorporating AI into our teaching?
