S09: Teaching Simulation-Based Inference

Nathan Tintle

Information

Many statistics educators argue that students in an introductory course can better understand the logic of statistical inference by using simulation-based methods rather than normal-based techniques. This discussion will address the topic of simulation-based inference, providing ideas from introducing an activity or two to transforming the entire course. Bring your own questions about how (or whether to) teach with simulation-based inference, or come to hear others' questions and participate in the discussion.
