Abstract
This virtual presentation investigates the first offering of a Statistics Practicum course for statistics majors. Students were provided opportunities to carry out statistical consulting projects with external clients. Responses were gathered from both Likert-scale and open-ended questions on an end-of-semester survey. Within reflection assignments, students wrote about the challenges of the semester-long projects, which included dealing with issues of data cleaning and data formatting. Advice and suggestions for course improvements and implementation are provided.
