Regional Conference - University of Florida

Abstract:

The North Florida Regional Conference is a one-day event during which participants virtually attend the national 2018 eCOTS meeting during a portion of the day, and also have an opportunity to interact locally. The Regional will have its own local keynote speaker, Dr. Tim Jacobbe from the University of Florida, and lightning rounds.

The lightening rounds will consist of ten participants selected to give 5-minute descriptions of activities or projects they use in their undergraduate statistics/data science courses. After these short presentations, attendees will have an opportunity to speak with the presenters in an informal setting.

Attendees who wish to present in one of the lightening rounds at the North Florida Regional should submit here: https://goo.gl/forms/NsNAC7s58q8nQAur2 by March 30th. This is a separate submission from the national eCOTS presentation. Presenters must be willing to present in person in Gainesville, Florida.
