P3-05: Peer development of Apps for Teaching: benefits to undergraduate research and to active learning

By Dennis Pearl (Penn State University)

Abstract

This virtual poster describes a full time summer research experience where ten undergraduate statistics majors developed Shiny Apps for teaching and then took a fall semester introduction to education research course where they field tested their work and improved the final product based on the feedback received. I will describe the program and the results of our study of the product developed, while student presenters will be available to discuss their experience.
