Abstract

Student class projects, independent studies, and extended research projects provide valuable opportunities for undergraduates to develop their statistics and data science skills and experience the joy and satisfaction of research and discovery. The Undergraduate Statistics Project Competition (USPROC, https://www.causeweb.org/usproc) provides an opportunity to recognize outstanding work by undergraduate statistics and data science students. In this session, several recent winners of the competition will share their work and discuss their project and research experiences.
