Anita Bhandari Sharma (University of South Carolina Lancaster)

Information

Flipped classrooms are increasingly used in statistics education to promote active learning, yet instructors report mixed experiences. This session invites statistics and data science educators to share both successes and challenges encountered when flipping their courses. Topics include student preparation, equity and access, alternatives to video-based pre-class work, and effective uses of in-class time. The session emphasizes open discussion to help participants better understand when and how flipped classrooms can be effective in statistics courses.
