The 2011 USCOTS Lifetime Achievement Award in statistics education was presented to Richard Scheaffer, University of Florida, at the USCOTS Awards Banquet, Friday, May 20th, 2011 at the SAS Campus in Cary North Carolina. George Cobb, Ann Watkins, and Christine Franklin announced the award winner and provided their perspectives on Dick's many important contributions to the Statistics Education Community. Dennis Pearl presented Dick with a tribute book with contributions from dozens of individuals.
