The Department of Statistics at Grand Valley State University invites applications for a
full-time, tenure-track position of Assistant Professor to begin August 6, 2024.
This is an open field search, and candidates from Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science
or a related field with a commitment to quality teaching and strong data analysis and
computing skills are encouraged to apply. We are especially interested in candidates from
underrepresented groups and individuals who have experience working with diverse student
and community populations.
Duties include teaching, appropriate with your expertise, throughout the statistics
curriculum including introductory service courses and graduate courses; participating in
professional scholarship, which is broadly defined in our department and includes
theoretical and pedagogical research and consulting activities; and department and
university service. The teaching load is typically 9 credit hours per semester.
