Abstract
Professional audio recording typically requires either acquiring expensive gear and software, or paying an audio engineer by the hour at a professional studio. However, it is possible to produce high quality music recordings in the comfort of your own home, using free software and cheaper equipment. In this talk I will present options for software and equipment that are either free or relatively inexpensive, as well as strategies that help improve vocal clarity when recording and mixing your work.
