Position Summary: The Department of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology seeks candidates to fill a tenure-track position at the assistant or associate professor level in the areas of statistical data science and machine learning. The appointment is to start in fall 2022. The department is particularly interested in that candidates be able to teach data science and statistics courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in statistics, data science, or related discipline with strong research, funding, and teaching potential. Outstanding candidates with a strong track record of research, funding, and teaching will be considered at the associate professor level. At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Essential Functions: Teach graduate and undergraduate courses each semester. Conduct research in statistics, data science, statistical machine learning, and biostatistics.
